RUSSIAN IMPERIAL SAINT GEORGE MEDAL FOR BRAVERY, 4th CLASS
St. George Medal for Bravery. Rebuilt according to original historical sample with improvement of quality to be exactly as it was in it's period. Sizes: 28 x 28 mm / 1.2" x 1.2" inches. Weight - 14 g.
Comes with George`s ribbon, ring for hanging the medal, an envelope. Each medal has a unique number on the reverse as it was in its time.
The length of ribbon is 20 cm.
Brass, gold plated. Best quality.
The St. George Medal is a medal of the Russian Empire with the inscription "For Bravery". It was established August 10, 1913 instead of the previously established medal "For bravery" for irregular troops and border guards as a medal of the Military Order of Saint George - the highest purely military decoration of the Russian Empire. Intended as a reward for military achievements in peacetime and wartime by the lower ranks (soldiers and NCOs) of the military and civil, under the statute is not appropriate to award with the George Cross. Was divided into 4 classes, worn on the chest with the St. George`s ribbon.
