Parabellum P-08 (Pistole 08, Parabellumpistole) Key, Artillery Model
"Die Lange Pistole 1908" or LP-08 or Artillery Luger was the second gun adopted by German army. Artillery Luger was developed in 1911-1912 for field and serf artillery (they used carbines and revolvers before). Standard 200mm P-08 gun has 800 meters sight notches (under cartridge chamber). The gun had flat butt with wooden bar. Snail drum magazine (Trommelmagazin 1908 or ТМ-08) was created in 1917. We know Tatarek & von Benko as originally developers however the most latest researches showed that the gun was patented in Germany in 1916 by Friedrich Blum.
Many of them were withdrawn from army in 1918 (were used with Bergman's submachine gun), but some of them were used with Parabellum by the end of the WWI.
