Total blade: 108.4cm Blade length: 78.3cm A nice cuirassier backsword by Ivan Bushuev. Very unique piece. Ivan Bushuev was very famous russian gunmaker. Bright-finished steel, 2 fullers. 53 cm of gilding, oil blue finish and etching. Military armature in gilding frame, oak branch timber, two crossed hatchets 1797 type, horns, drums, timpanis, cuirassier helmet, cuirassier backswords 1810 type, russian banners, two-headed eagle (wings down). Gilded medallion with flying horse. Similar style blade flat - flying horse, medallion, a branch of the laurel, crossed hatchets 1797 type, drum, crossed barrels with bayonets, crossed banners and Alexander I of Russia mono, "G.GRA" stamp - polisher's personal stamp. Gilded inscription "И.Бушуевъ. Златоустъ 1824-го года". Excellent condition, original polishing. End is shorter (5-7cm) than supposed to be. Original crosspiece includes hilt and brass handguard. Wooden hilt, fitted by black leather. All brass elements with local gilding. Blade belongs to 1824 and crosspiece belongs to 1826. Metal scabbard with two wide screws with rings. Scabbard with wooden piece inside. Ivan Bushuev produced very unique and expensive stuff. This is very unique pieces on the russian market.
