Interest in military antiques laid parents, military lawyers by profession. It is the passion of parents to history and their own hobby became the reason that Dmitry received a higher historical education.
Dmitry Bushmakov was one of the organisers and sponsors of the Military History Festival "War 1916", dedicated to the events of the First World War. The aim of this festival was to revive public interest in the undeservedly forgotten Great War.
